Tommy Nelson: Boyfriends, bromantic partners, crushes, and cocks

In my earlier profile of Tommy Nelson, star of My Friend Dahmer and Cat and Mouse, guest on The Righteous Gemstones and Better Call Saul, I noted that he married a woman in 2023.  Thus obviously straight, right?

Wait -- there are lots of bi/pan people in the world.  A closer look at Tommy's posts on social media reveals a lot of pre-marriage boyfriends or bromantic partners including Alex Wolff and a non-actor named Ryan.  Plus implications of getting down to business, maybe as a joke, maybe not.

1. Watching tv with a buddy in Fairborn, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton.  I can't tell who belongs to which leg, but they are obviously being intimate. Tommy tells his followers to "laugh."

2. Beer bottle placed strategically over his crotch to emulate an erection.  We've all done that to attract gay men, who always look at other men face-crotch-face.

3. Tommy's main man Ryan.  He invites his fans to invent "ship" names. Rymmy and Tyan sound too weird.

Shea Whigham: Cop, gangster, racecar driver, and politician in prison, with two gay/bi subtexts and a nude Colin Farrell bonus.

Born in 1969 in Tallahassee, Florida, Shea Whigham started his career in theater, and broke into tv in 1997 with a guest spot on Ghost Stories.  

A good start, with Tigerland, 2000, a "homoerotic war movie," with Colin Farrell and Matthew Davis falling in gay-subtext love at a training camp for Vietnam War recruits. Shea plays main antagonist Private Wilson, who hates Colin's character and tries to kill him. 

But then things start to go downhill, with lots more soldiers, POWs, cops, sheriffs, and homophobia. 

In  Wristcutters: A Love Story (2006) , Shea's character, Eugene, lives in an afterlife for people who have killed themselves.  Everything is dark and depressing, but otherwise you do the same things you did while alive: eat, sleep, work, fall in love, and go on road trips.  He lives with his parents and brother Kosta, all suicides, of course.  His father, because Kostya was gay.  Kostya, because he was gay.  Two other gay suicides appear.  Geez, does every gay guy kill himself?

Shea continues through movies like Blood Creek, The Fast and the Furious, and The Lincoln Lawyer, and episodes of many tv series, but not a comedy in the lot.  He ended up with a starring role on Boardwalk Empire, 2010-14, about 1930s gangsters, including Lucky Luciano and Al Capone. Shea plays the county sheriff, who is also the younger brother of a crime boss Nucky, played by Steve Buscemi. 

More gangsters, cops, sheriffs, and basically people with guns. Wheelman, 2017, is notable for 286 instances of the f-word, the most in any narrative film.  It stars Frank Grillo as a mob driver who has a lot of bloody problems during one f*king night, including a run-in with Shea's loose-canon Motherf*ker.

As far as I can tell, Shea's first comedy series was Vice Principals (2016-18), featuring Danny McBride as Neal Gamby, a vice principal at a Charleston, South Carolina high school, competing with the other vice principal (Walton Goggins) for the high-prestige principal position.  Shea played the boyfriend of Gamby's ex wife.  

We don't see a gay or gay subtext character again until Small Engine Repair (2021): "the seemingly casual reunion of three old friends at an out-of-the-way repair shop masks a hidden agenda fueled by the arrival of a privileged young frat boy." 

The three old friends are played by Shea Whigham, Jon Bernthal, and John Pollono.  I don't know which have the gay subtexts; the reviews just talk about bromance and "gay jokes."

You'd expect Gaslit (2022) to be set in the Victorian era, but it's actually about the Watergate Scandal, seen through the eyes of peripheral characters.  Shea plays far-right Nixon fan G. Gordon Liddy, who ends up showering and show us his butt in prison.

Johnnie Gordon: Wicked lips, black mafia, terror lake, and Chick Fil A. With bonus black guys and a Mafia dick.

Johnnie Gordon (below) played one of Kelvin and Keefe's Faith Factory teens in Righteous Gemstones Episode 1.4, "Wicked Lips."  So of course, I had to check to see if he was gay or gay-friendly.

The results of my research: God is guiding Johnnie through careers as an actor, model, clothing entrepreneur, and college student.  He has been blessed by God with 14 acting credits on the IMDB, including starring roles in two tv programs. Telling your fans what God is doing for you may not necessarily mean that you eat at Chick-Fil-A and say "Amen!" when the pastor preaches against homa-seksuls, but there's a strong correlation.  

I'm guessing that when he took the role on The Righteous Gemstones, Johnnie thought "Oh, boy! Christians!", without knowing that the youth pastors were written as gay. 

But I tried his two tv shows.  Maybe there was gay content after all.  First up: BMF, which is impossible to type without typing BFM first.  It's  not available on any of my streaming services, but Roku had a "sample episode" to get you hooked before you buy it.

It is a crime drama based on a real Black Mafia Family (BFM...whoops, I did it again), with two of the Mafiosos playing themselves.  Johnny and Jaylon appear in flashbacks as young versions of Lil Meech (so Lil Lil Meech) and Southwest T Flenory.

I only managed five minutes. First Dad comes in while the kids are making breakfast and gives Mom several loud, wet, sloppy kisses -- gross!.  Then he compliments her on how good she was in bed last night -- in front ofhis kids!

Then the boys decide to go into mafia work because they can get clothes, cars, and "honeys."  And from then on, it appears to be smashing honeys and shooting dudes all the way down.  Wait -- did God really guide Johnnie to this role?

Sometimes we see the butts of the adult Big Meech (Lil Meech Flenory) and Southwest T (Da'Vinchi, top photo), and there's at least one dick shot (below).

Johnnie and Jaylon write on their instagram that the greatest memory God gave them in 2023 was starring in TLD SZN3.  I've never heard of a tv show with that name, and in fact it doesn't appear on Google except in the brother's instagram statements that they loved starring in it.  

They might mean Terror Lake Drive, another series that's not available anywhere on my streaming services.  I couldn't even find a "free sample episode," but it's either about "a single mom who runs away from her matriarchal home to Atlanta" or "a debt-ridden science teacher who inherits a million-dollar estate." Or they might be different women in different seasons. 

Heck with it.  I couldn't even find a trailer.  Let's just look at some black guys.

Dillon B: Beefcake and possible nude photos of an IT guy, crabber, model, part-time actor, and Slytherin

Dillon B. of Charleston, South Carolina has a day job "developing system integration solutions for cloud-based services, specializing in enterprise."  In his ten years of experience, he has written 95,000 lines of code for 34 websites in 7 programming languages.  Whoa.

Dillon has two other (uncredited) acting roles listed on the IMDB, plus two upcoming. Is that enough show business experience to post some beefcake photos?  Just in case, I won't use his real last name.

In Episode 3.4 of The Righteous Gemstones, Jesse Gemstone walks through the house brushing his teeth, and stumbles across his son Pontius having sex with his girlfriend -- in a downstairs study?  With the door wide open?  I see Pontius has inherited the Gemstone cluelessness. 

He goes ballistic and gives a speech about "betraying trust" that reflects the Kelvin/Keefe and Judy/BJ breakups.

Kelton DuMont (Pontius) was over 18 when he filmed this scene, so chances are it's really him, not a butt double. And since he used the scene in his acting reel on IMDB, he obviously doesn't mind people watching:

The Righteous Gemstones is known for its cock shots, but none come from the main cast, so all we have seen of Kelvin (Adam DeVine) to date is his physique, bulge, and butt.

Stephen Dorff: Queer characters and dicks

In Season 3 of the Righteous Gemstones, Steven Dorff plays Vance Simkins, one of the three Simpkins siblings, pastors of a competing mega-church and arch-rivals of the Gemstones.  He postures, insults Jesse, gets beat up by Jesse's thugs, and finally competes with the Gemstones in a Bible trivia contest that is plagued by locusts.

Stephen Dorff has been a Hollywood hunk and dramatic and comedic staple for 40 year.  Go through his list of acting credits on the IMDB and count the movies and tv shows you haven't seen -- it will be easier. I remember his 1990s work most fondly: S.F.W,, I Shot Andy Warhol, City of Industry, Blade, Cecil B. Demented.  A surprising number of gay and otherwise queer characters.

In a 2006 interview, Dorff said that he's surprised he's not gay because when he was young, he liked to watch women...getting dressed?  Wait --why would a young gay boy want to see naked ladies?

He has shown his chiseled physique and his butt in a huge number of movies.  Here's a sample.

Stephen Schneider's Extensive Nude Scene

 

In The Righteous Gemstones Episode 3.6, BJ Barnes intends to beat up Stephen (Stephen Schneider), the sleazy guitarist who had an affair with his wife.  He goes to Stephen's house and finds him masturbating in the bedroom.  The result is a 5-minute long fight between BJ and the naked Stephen, his cock and balls not only visible but emphasized throughout.  The fight eventually moves outside, where BJ finishes it by grabbing and squeezing Stephen's balls.
