Marcus Adair: finance major, stuntman, bodybuilder, Jabari warrior, nude model (probably)
Marcus Adair has had a busy life. U.S. Air Force Academy, then the University of Arkansas, where he started in electrical engineering but changed to finance. Well, calculus is hard.
Now he considers himself primarily a stunt performer, with work in Black Panther, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen of the South, and Star.

Workaholics Episode 1.9: Adam kisses a cougar, gets frisky with Ders, and raps as a bodybuilding fairy wizard. With a Michael O'Hearn frontal
After the gloomfest of The Mick, I needed something a little more upbeat. So Workaholics Episode 1.9, which was heavily criticized on the Gender/Sex/Media blog as homophobic: the guys think of "homosexuality" as weird and wrong -- and something you can catch. Plus Adam uses a homophobic slur! We'll see.
Scene 1: The guys dressed as wizards in long beards and conical caps, rehearsing a rap number for the Renaissance Faire. Ders asks why Adam has ripped his shirt off: "We're trying to get people excited, right? The world needs to see the madness that is my upper torso." Can't disagree with that.
Next Ders objects to "whoring out" the art of rap, but the guys remind him that ladies with big boobs will be watching their performance, so ok.
Scene 2: At work, the guys are watching through the window as Adam lifts weights on the patio. Geez, don't you gawk at his bod enough at home? Sorry, of course there's no such thing as "enough."
Suddenly a middle-aged lady comes onto the patio to smoke: Sharon, the owner of the whole building! The guys, watching, don't understand.. "Why is that lady talking to Adam? Wait -- why are they kissing?" Well, Billy, some boys like to kiss boys, and some like to kiss girls.
Scene 3: Blake wonders where Adam has been for three days; he's missing the Wizard Rap rehearsals. He comes in to announce that he's moving in with Sharon! They're in love, they're having sex, and besides, she's helping him with his bodybuilding career. She got him a gig at the Tri-County Amateur Bodybuilding Competition. Um..buddy, anyone can sign up for those things. Blake and Ders disapprove: she's a cougar (middle aged lady who's into young guys.) Nonsense, she's the same age as Adam's mom, who has sex a lot.
He zooms away on the back of Sharon's motorcycle. The guys feel betrayed, and decide that they will break up the lovebirds. Their plan: Ders will seduce her. Won't work -- I'm sure Sharon is fine with three-ways.
Scene 4: The guys arrive at Sharon's mansion. While Adam shows Blake around, Ders asks to check out the pool (we've already established that he's a former swimming champ).
The grand tour, consisting of the various places where Adam has made "the magic happen": their bedroom, the staircase, her son's bedroom, the kitchen. Have they ever actually had sex? I think a big reveal is coming.
Meanwhile Ders goes out to the pool in a very tight Speedo and flirts with Sharon. She can't swim, so he offers to teach her.
Scene 5: Adam shows Blake the gym, where he's preparing for the bodybuilding competition. Blake wants to stall him, to give Ders enough time to complete the seduction, so he asks for a demonstration of the bicep curl. Adam likes to keep the window open during his workouts, so when he screams, people outside think he's having sex. But aren't you having sex a lot anyway?
Meanwhile, in the pool, Sharon asks Ders "Are you trying to seduce me?" She is totally open to the idea.
Scene 6: Adam looks out the window, sees Sharon and Ders flirting, and runs down in a jealous snit. "We're going to fight!"
They can't fight that way, so he has to lie down until he gets soft. But the minute the two start grabbing at each other, they both get aroused! "Your boner is contagious!" Adam exclaims. He orders Ders to put on a shirt to hide his hunkiness. What about you, Mr. Sexiest Man on the Planet? It can't be a fair fight with your gorgeousness distracting your opponent. "Wait, am I supposed to hit you or kiss you? I'll compromise with a blow job."
Ders agrees -- they're too attracted to each other for a physical fight. Maybe if they just hurl insults? Nope -- it turns into an "are you as turned on as I am?" tirade that stops just short of the kiss. And they're aroused again!

Chris Messina: Nude photos of the guy from "Birds of Prey," "The Mindy Project," and lots of movies with dicks and angst
I didn't get a lot of page views for my review of The Sinner -- maybe everyone found the title too judgmental -- so I decided to repurpose the numerous nude photos of Chris Messina into a separate article. Who is this guy whom I never heard of before, who lacks a standard gym rat physique yet manages to tear his clothes off in practically every screen appearance?
He doesn't have much of a social media presence. This Chris Messina looks like him, but must be somebody else, since he has a boyfriend, and our guy has a wife. Plus an article in Forbes proclaiming "Chris Messina loves women." Wow, a heterosexual, how bizarre! I've heard of men like that, but I've never met one in real life. How do they decide who's the top and who's the bottom?
Our Chris, who loves women, was born in 1974 He grew up in New York City, dropped out of college after one semester, and moved onto Broadway, then tv. He has 75 acting credits on the IMDB, including substantial roles in Damages, The Newsroom, The Mindy Project, and Based on a True Story. I've only seen him in Argo and Birds of Prey.
Not a lot of gay roles. In an interview, he says that his villain Victor Szaz in Birds of Prey is "probably gay." and in Based on a True Story, his character is married to a woman, but makes out with a guy during a fantasy orgy.
Our first glimpse of Chris's private parts comes in the tv series Six Feet Under (about a mortuary). His Ted Farwell, an attorney who dates some of the ladies, walks through his house nude.
28 Hotel Rooms (2012) features a Woman and a Man (Chris) hooking up in hotel rooms every time they are in the same city on business. It sounds artsy, pretentious, and heterosexist, but apparently Chris walks around nude a lot.

Miles Burris: Bodybuilder/footballer/family man "will come upon you." Plus some random dicks
Former football player Miles Burris broke into acting with roles as football players in Starwood and Safety, and a lot of buffed guys: Rip Hardcore in The Really Loud House, Triple H in Young Rock, Huge Guy #1 in Gym Rat and Mr. America in Federation.
He played Lucifer's dudebro brother Jophiel in a 3-episode story arc on Lucifer.
In Season 2 of The Righteous Gemstones, he plays, God Squad bodybuilder Titus, who begins the decline and fall of Kelvin's God Squad cult. He'd rather exercise than listen to a Bible story. When he is sentenced to a week in the tiger cage as punishment, he exclaims: "Retribution will come upon you, and I'll do the coming."
Miles discusses how he prepared for the role: by watching a lot of youtube videos about Christian muscle groups. "They would lift their brothers and rip phone books."

Matthew William Bishop: Leatherman, muscleman, actor, LGBTQ advocate. With nude bodybuilder bonus.
If you saw this guy standing outside a brownstone in New York, would you a) Run away screaming; b) get on your knees.
How about now?
He's Matthew William Bishop, who gave up a career in corporate public relations in 2021, when the acting bug bit. His Some Kind of Wonderful, about four gay guy looking for love in Palm Springs, won four awards for Best LGBTQ Film.
Then he hit the big time playing the silent supernatural Big Daddy, a symbol of AIDs in American Horror Story, NYC: (Set during the first years of the AIDS epidemic.)
Matthew is also a bodybuilder, obviously. He took first place at the 2023 Miami Muscle Beach Contest in the NPC Open Super Heavyweight Category.
And a philanthropist, devoted to recovery, AIDS awareness, and LGBTQ advocacy. 10% of the sales of this "Make the Deposits" shirt go to the New York LGBTQ Community Center, so it's probably not dirty.
This isn't supposed to be dirty, either, although a lot of the comments on his Instagram page were from people willing to "choke on it."

Gemstones Episode 2.5 Queer Code: the muscle magazine taped to Kelvin's bedroom wall
In Episode 2.5, the flashback to 1993, four-year old Kelvin has a cover of Muscle & Fitness on the wall of his room.
You can only see it for a second before Judy turns off the light. Notice that it's positioned very low, at Kelvin's height, so he can see it better.
I worked at Muscle & Fitness in the 1990s. Joe Weider was extremely homophobic, worried about gay men reading our magazine, so every cover featured a man and a woman together, or a celebrity like Arnold. The Righteous Gemstones prop department found one with just a man, or made one up: the cover on the wall does not appear in the 1990-1996 gallery.
This show rewards attention to small details of staging and set design. Kelvin's interest in muscles here is a subtle queer code that presages his interest in the God Squad.

Redeeming Dave: Church for losers includes Tony Cavalero, a drag queen, and a porn star. With nude Ryan Hughes
Redeeming Dave was a 2012 tv pilot by Dominic Russo (one of the creators of Workaholics). Comedian Aaron Rice starred as Dave, a guy who fails at everything, so he starts a church for losers. Tony Cavalero played his friend Josh.
The pilot is not available to be streamed, but Dominic Russo brings it up during an interview about Workaholics, and shows us two scenes:
In the first, Dave and Josh discuss how the "he/she has a tiny little baby dick." "He/She" is transphobic, of course. Then she walks by, and they are embarrassed.
In the second scene, Josh is telling a grade school class that his friend got a hamster shoved all the way up his butt. This is based on the homophobic urban legend that gay men like shoving rodents up there.
I can't really tell if the pilot is homophobic or transphobic based on two brief scenes, but since these were the scenes that Dominic Russo used to draw viewer interest, it seems likely that gay/trans identity was going to be a major focus.
The cast list includes Ryan Hughes as "Racist Cop" (must be one of the losers in the church). I don't know if it's the same Ryan Hughes featured in Adonis Male in 2017, but just to be on the safe side, here are some nude pics:

Hank Strong: Bodybuilder, firefighter, gay leather daddy
Hank Strong (Henry Akinsaya) played Jericho, a member of Kelvin's God Squad in Righteous Gemstones Season 2. When they threaten to return Keefe to his tiger-cage prison, he defends himself by swatting Jericho's nipple. (Actually a courageous act, since Jericho is nearly a foot taller and 100 pounds heavier than Keefe).
The Brooklyn-born actor graduated from NYU and worked as a celebrity bodyguard before he was cast as the villain Lunkhead in an episode of Gotham (2018). He moved on to a two-episode story arc as Big Dick Buster on Godfather of Harlem. Tell me more about Big Dick...
Roles in The King of Staten Island, The Last O.G., and The Blacklist followed. Plus Anna Nicole: The Opera.
Where do you want Pete Davidson to put his tongue?
Hank's only gay role, that I can find, is in a 2018 episode of Hightown.

Cousin George: "Only fools wear pajamas"
I'm starting a new series of autobiographical stories with a Gemstone connection, mostly South Carolina or megachurch-related. First up: Cousin George:
My Cousin George, son of my father's older brother, was just my age, tall and blond, with a hard chest, a thin belly, and a Southern drawl. He lived in Walterboro, South Carolina, about 50 miles from Charleston but a thousand miles from Rock Island, so we visited only a few times during my chiildhood. Usually my Grandma Davis took me down on the train.
And the racial diversity: Cousin George had friends who were Native American and Chinese, and even black (I never saw anyone black in heavily-segregated Rock Island).
We went swimming in the warm salty Atlantic Ocean.
At night Cousin George and I took our baths together together in scalding-hot water, and then slept naked together under thin sheets -- "only fools wear pajamas," he insisted.
When I was 13, Grandma Davis got sick, and the train-visits stopped. We didn't stay in contact. Occasionally my father would tell me something about his three older sisters, but he never mentioned Cousin George. Apparently my uncle never mentioned him. Was he dead, or disinherited, or a disappointment?
